Mia Gunhouse: Founder & Owner, Early Childhood Coach & Consultant
Mia has been in the fields of education, early learning and childcare for over 30 years. She first began her career as a public school teacher in Winnipeg and in the Greater Toronto Area, eventually transitioning into a career of Early Child Development in Calgary.
Mia has enjoyed several positions along the way, including Preschool/Kindergarten Educator, Family Day Home Consultant, as well as various ELCC leadership roles. In addition as a college ECED Instructor, she enjoys spending time with curious and energetic learners, supporting to shape a qualified ELCC workforce.
Mia considers it an absolute honour to work alongside ELCC Programs and Family Day Home Agencies, supporting children’s crucial developmental years, enhancing each individual’s future and potential. In addition, she loves establishing, developing, and nurturing strong and intentional relationships with co-educators, children and their families.
Carla Crann: Early Childhood Coach & Consultant
Carla has been in the ELCC field since graduating from Mount Royal University in 2003. Alongside her Early Childhood Education Diploma, Carla also holds a Not-for-Profit Business Management Certificate, effectively propelling her through various career roles.
Carla began to establish her career as a frontline Educator and along the way, has had the privilege of working with children and co-educators in a variety of settings, from infants to out of school care. She transitioned to Executive Director positions, eventually leading to her most satisfying
role to date of Coach and Consultant.
Carla is passionate about children exploring their world, building their confidence and learning alongside them.
